The Picnic Stage

The project finds its solution by addressing two issues outlined in the brief: the need to use the proposed space both during and outside the festival, and the integration of the proposal into the current context. Thus, the stage serves as a ramp providing access to the previously overlooked green space in front of the faculty, lifting off the ground and thereby creating a physical barrier (as required by the brief). In this way, the “performance hall” takes on two dimensions: a formal one in the paved area where the seats are located, and an informal one where music can be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere, on a blanket, at a picnic.

The jury appreciated its symbolic potential, the proportions within the square, and its sustainability.
