Literature as a World. A dialogue with Ioana Nicolaie

High school students from the 9th and 11th grades at Colegiul Național Iași will have the opportunity to participate in a special literary event on May 16, 2025, from 12:00 to 14:00, alongside the renowned writer IOANA NICOLAIE.

The event, titled “Literature as a World”, is a dialogue about literature, imagination, and the power of words, coordinated by Prof. Lavinia Ungureanu. Curated by Ramona Ursu, the meeting will provide an interactive and inspiring setting where literature comes to life through discussion and reflection.

The event will explore essential themes of contemporary literature, with a focus on poetry, novels, and the creative process. Students will have the chance to learn firsthand from Ioana Nicolaie about her literary works, the journey of a writer, and the importance of literature in understanding the world.

Ioana Nicolaie is one of the most acclaimed voices in contemporary Romanian literature, the author of numerous volumes of poetry, prose, and children’s literature. Through her distinctive style and artistic sensitivity, she creates powerful literary worlds, marked by introspection and depth.

This event offers a unique opportunity for the students of Colegiul Național Iași to engage directly with an established writer, ask questions, and explore new perspectives on literature.

Through this meeting, Romanian Creative Week & Colegiul Național Iași aim to promote reading, creativity, and a passion for writing among the younger generation.
