Shadowear Shadowear

Shadowear is an exhibition that investigates the relationship between the body, the shadow, and the garment through an experimental method of fashion design. The project originates from the shadow of the human body, viewed as a two-dimensional, abstract projection devoid of identity. This shadow becomes the matrix from which the vestimentary form is born. By transposing the shadow into volume, the clothes break away from the classic patterns of tailoring. The creative process eliminates conventional bodily benchmarks, such as gender, age, or size. Shadowear proposes a shift in perspective on how fashion is constructed: the garment no longer follows the body, but rather its shadow. The exhibition highlights the tension between the two-dimensional and the three-dimensional. Materials, light, and projection play an essential role in defining the final object. The result is a distorted aesthetic—at once recognizable and uncanny. The audience is invited to view the garment as a conceptual object. Shadowear functions as a bridge between fashion, visual arts, and performance, exploring the boundaries of contemporary fashion design. The exhibition becomes a space for reflection on identity and the representation of the body.
