[iid] DESIGN DISTRICT  [iid] DESIGN DISTRICT

Design District is the urban activation component of Iași Interior Design 2026.

The program connects several spaces located on the Copou – Palas Campus axis in an active interior design route. Spaces with various functions — commercial, cultural, educational, institutional or business — become part of a common experience and can be visited by the public during the Romanian Creative Week.

Each space integrated into the district hosts a temporary design intervention, created specifically for the RCW period. The interventions do not permanently modify the infrastructure, but rather punctually activate the way in which the space is perceived, used and integrated into the life of the community.

Through micro-events and meeting contexts, the district contributes to the formation of micro-communities of interior design and stimulates dialogue around design as a factor in the quality of personal life and the way in which we live and interact together, but also as a tool for professional performance and business development.

Spaces located on the Copou – Palas Campus axis that can be visited by the public and are open to temporary intervention may request integration into the Design District program, based on a curatorial selection.
