NeMO – New Music Oasis
NeMO – New Music Oasis is a cultural initiative that aims to support and promote emerging artists in the music field, offering them a platform for expression and visibility both locally and nationally/internationally. Each episode features a young artist performing a live set in an unconventional, acoustic space, where sound and emotion are the focus. The result is video and audio material that captures the essence of the performance, subsequently distributed on digital platforms. The concert is “silent” – without an audience or with an audience listening through headphones – creating an atmosphere of total concentration on the music, free from external noises and distractions.

Impulsively fascinated by music and culture since his adolescence, Cătălin began his career in the music industry at Radio Contact at the age of 16 in the music and programming department, then moved to an independent record label [Roton Music] where he developed the licensed catalog and began exporting Romanian music in 2004, working with artists (Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, ATB, Bob Sinclar, Martin Solveig, INNA, Akcent, Antonia, Fly Project, Alexandra Stan and many others) and record labels from all over the world. In 2011, Cătălin was appointed Label Manager of Warner Music Licensee in Romania, contributing to the success of artists such as Lykke Li, Jason Derulo, Dua Lipa and more. Since 2022, Cătălin is A&R Creative Manager at Universal Music Romania and Astralwerks East, part of the largest record label in the world.
With an extensive knowledge of the music industry, Cătălin was always on the lookout for what’s next: a new artist, a new song, a new sound, a new producer, and so on.
