HUMAN VIOLINS – PRELUDE is a visually stunning interactive world that evokes the transformative power of music in the darkest of times. Inspired by a heartbreaking true story: during the Holocaust, many Jews were allowed to choose a single object before being taken to the camps, and some chose their violin. We follow the fictional story of Alma (15), a young violin lover living in a world of terror. Through music, she can free herself. You are given the chance to carry her legacy forward.

Ioana Mischie is a remarkable Romanian artist (writer/director) and futurist, repeatedly awarded for film, interactive virtual reality and innovative concepts. A Fulbright scholarship graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts and a graduate of UNATC, she developed the field of transmedia storytelling as part of her doctoral thesis, completed with Summa Cum Laude. Her film projects have traveled to over 250 festivals worldwide (Cannes IFF, Venice Biennale IFF) and received notable international awards (Webby Awards, European XR Awards, Fipadoc Smart Award). Considered a trendsetter in the audiovisual field, her most recent cinematic worlds embrace a new audiovisual genre called noetic fiction (which advocates for a future fueled by the progress of human consciousness): Children’s Government, Tangible Utopias, Human Violins, DreamNA. In the last decade, she has marked several important milestones in the audiovisual industry after the release of the first stereoscopic feature film in Romania, an immersive multiplayer franchise or the first film that creatively involves artificial intelligence practices. She has contributed to notable books published by MIT Press and NYU Press and has been a lecturer at UNATC and an international speaker at numerous conferences worldwide, including TEDxBucharest Women Bold and Brilliant. Viewing the world as a neo-creative playground, she strongly believes that storytellers are the “architects of the future” (Buckminster Fuller).
