Alexandros Ioan Raptis

Alexandros Ioan Raptis

Born in 1989 in Greece, Alex Raptis works in the performing arts field. His main areas of interest include theatre directing, lighting design, and musical composition. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts from UNATC “I.L.Caragiale” in 2012, followed by a Master’s degree in Sound & Light Design from the same university. Since 2014, he has been creating lighting design and music for performances, jazz concerts, and theatre productions. His latest lighting design projects include NOW TO NOW by AC Leonte, DON QUIJOTE (dir.Baczó Tünde) produced by Teatrul Nottara in Bucharest, and KOMOREBI, BESTIAR & MONSTER, 3 shows produced by Vanner Collective and hosted by the National Theatre

Bucharest and Metropolis Theare. While residing and working in Romania, he also engages in projects and tours in other countries (USA, Canada, South Africa, EU). Alex creates electronic music and also plays as a drummer. Currently, he is working on several interactive installations, aiming to merge his passion for technology and sensors with sound and lighting design. His most recent audio-visual installations are called Light Vectors, Tree of Light & Collective Heart created in collaboration with visual artist Andrei Cozlac as part of Romanian Creative Week 2023-2025.

Teodora Velescu

Teodora Velescu

Teodora Velescu is a choreographer and dancer based in Bucharest. She specialized in classical dance at the Floria Capsali Choreography High School and obtained a bachelor’s degree in choreography and a master’s degree in dance pedagogy from the National University of Theatre and Film. She is currently a doctoral student at UNATC, specializing in Theatre and Performing Arts.

Over the years, she has collaborated both as a performer and choreographer with some of Romania’s most important cultural institutions, such as the Bucharest National Theatre, the Bucharest National Opera, the Comic Opera for Children, the National Dance Center, ‘Gulliver’ Children’s and Youth Theatre, ‘Tony Bulandra’ Theatre, Metropolis Theatre, Nottara Theatre, Romanian Playwrights’ Theatre, and with independent companies and venues such as Tangaj Collective, Vanner Collective, Linotip — Independent Choreographic Center, Unteatru, etc.
She has performed and held dance workshops at prestigious national and international theatre and dance festivals. She curated the first two editions of the HazarDance festival, part of Romanian Creative Week.

She choreographs for theatre and film productions and teaches at the ‘I. L. Caragiale’ National University of Theatre and Film.

Her love for movement and curiosity to discover the mysteries of the body guide her in every interaction with dance. She collaborates with artists from all fields to broaden her horizons. The connection between theatre and dance is what motivates her research and creation of dance, especially the transfer of ideas and tools.

Cătălin Manea

Cătălin Manea

Catalin Manea is a set designer based in Bucharest, with over a decade of experience in the performing arts, cultural events, film, and the commercial sector. Over the past years, he has contributed to a series of remarkable projects, including the film Horia, where he served as Art Director, the festivals Strada Armenească and Balkanik, for which he designed the set, as well as the choreography show Nihil Sine Deo, for which he created the scenography.

Passionate about music, he is also a member of the band Midpoint, thus exploring a complementary artistic dimension. His creative approach focuses on revealing and articulating the story of space, treated as an organic and essential element in the coherence and expressiveness of the entire artistic work.

Radu Marțin

Radu Marțin

Radu Marțin (born 1999) is a visual artist based in Iași, Romania, working with video, generative technology, and performativity within the field of new media. Part of his artistic practice focuses on the study of the human psyche in relation to technology, aiming to develop new visual expressions that engage with artistic perception. He graduated from the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design, specializing in Photography and Video Art, and is currently a PhD candidate at the same institution. He actively participates in numerous group exhibitions. In 2021, he exhibited for the first time in “New Media Alley”, part of Romanian Creative Week, returning in the 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 editions with works presented in the “New Media District” section. He also created installations presented at events such as “Senzoria” (Iași) and “St.ART Festival” (Bucharest).

Also in 2021, he joined the artist group EdgeMapping, collaborating on projects such as “Ship of Fools” and “Fluid Memory,” as well as on architectural video mapping shows projected onto buildings including: the Palace of Culture (Iași), “Matei Vișniec” Theatre (Suceava), the Water Tower (Suceava), Vaslui City Hall, the Military Hospital (Iași), the “Gheorghe Asachi” House (Iași), Botoșani City Hall, the Vaslui County Museum, the “Balș” Manor (Darabani), and others.

Starting the same year, he began working nationally and internationally with various theatres as a video designer, collaborating on productions such as “Mickiewicz–Eminescu,” “Erus and the Valley of Gratitude,” “Improvisation with a Dog,” “Silent Chekhov,” “The Strange Life of Anthony Steadman,” and “Andrei.” In 2023, he collaborated with artist Andrei Cozlac on the performance “Alice in Wonderland,” nominated for a UNITER Award in the category Best Video Design.
In the field of visuals and live performances, he has participated in a long series of electronic music events and projects such as Classix Festival, Rocanotherworld, Cathedral Music Festival, New Music Oasis, and Artist in Church. He contributed to the media component of Symphony No. III: “Offering to Brâncuși” by composer Viorel Munteanu. For the artist Paulina, he prepared video moments for Summer Well Festival (Buftea) and Electric Castle (Cluj), as well as for the concert “Te Iubesc – Te Urăsc” at Arenele Romane, Bucharest. In cinema, he worked as assistant director of photography for the feature film “Hrănește Animalul” (Feed the Animal) (2020), directed by Alex Iurașcu, and held the same role in 2022 for the feature film “Principiul Incertitudinii” (The Uncertainty Principle), directed by Sebastian Bădărău.

Andrei Botnaru

Andrei Botnaru is a multimedia artist active in the field of contemporary visual arts. He completed his Bachelor’s studies (2014–2017) and Master’s studies (2017–2019) at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, Faculty of Visual Arts and Design, specializing in Photography, Video, and Computerized Image Processing.

Since 2018, he has been the set designer at the “Luceafărul” Theatre in Iași, where his work focuses on virtual productions and innovative multimedia concepts. Between 2017 and 2020, he worked in the music video industry, exploring the fusion between modern art and Romanian cinematography.

He is a founding member of the MAPEVERYTHING group and a member of the EDGE MAPPING collective. He regularly works with major cultural institutions, including the Romanian National Opera in Iași, the “Vasile Alecsandri” National Theatre Iași, the National Theatre Târgu-Mureș, the “Matei Vișniec” Theatre Suceava, and the Youth Theatre Piatra-Neamț.

Dan Cebotari

Dan Cebotari (b. 2000) is a visual artist, currently a PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of Visual Arts, UNAGE Iași. His artistic interests pursue an analysis of the relationship between public space and memory, particularly questioning the logic of monuments. His experimental practice is based on installative sculpture and the use of non-conventional materials within these works. Often ironically, he seeks to transpose a personal, critical vision regarding the issues created by the challenges of consumerism, forced technologization, and socio-political reality.

Larissa Natalia Danilov

Larissa Natalia Danilov

Larissa Natalia Danilov, known by the name LOV, is a multidisciplinary artist from Romania, working in the fields of multimedia art and performance in cities such as Brussels, Bucharest, Cluj, and Iași.

Her work explores the intimate connections between the artist and the viewer, creating immersive and interactive experiences. Under her alter ego LOV, Larissa aims to establish an authentic connection with the viewer, provoking a sensitive reaction through visual, sound, and tactile stimuli.

Her approach is scenographic, encouraging the audience to actively engage in the experience rather than simply observing. Larissa’s artistic movement is based on intense visual and physical contact with her media, bringing them into a tangible dimension.

Larissa is part of the artistic group Five o Shock, a collective of artists working in different mediums, collaborating to push boundaries and challenge the conventional through projects that question the norm. She has been a member of the Union of Visual Artists in Romania since 2018 and is a graduate of the “George Enescu” University of Art in Iași, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in graphics and a master’s degree in photo-video.

Ioana Rusu

Ioana Rusu

Ioana Rusu is a visual artist from Suceava. Her practice is situated at the intersection of post-photography, installation, and video. Driven by the dynamics of fragmentation, her work utilizes the medium as a tool for analyzing memory, vulnerability, and identity. She is interested in the ways micro-social traumas, interpersonal relationships, and the concept of home shape an individual’s trajectory.

Ioana’s work has been included in exhibitions such as Romanian Creative Week (2025), Paratissima Torino (2025), Homemade Lemonade (2025), Diploma Show (2024), Laboratories of Time (MoBU, 2024), Common Matters (2024), and Fabulating About a Gelato Machine (2023).

Her professional experience is further defined by participations in residencies and mentorship programs, including the VID Grant (2025), Culture Moves Europe (Tirana, 2025), Iris Comun (Cluj, 2024), Accelerator (2023–2024), and Acasă la Hundorf (2023).

Andrei Cozlac

Andrei Cozlac

Andrei Cozlac (b. 1986) is a video artist and Lecturer at George Enescu National University of Arts, Iasi, Faculty of Visual Arts, Department of Photography, Video, and Computer Image Processing, as well as a collaborating professor at the media department of the Faculty of Arts in Târgu Mureș.

An experimenter interested in the latest multimedia technologies, he has collaborated on numerous independent projects involving visuals, video mapping, and live projections.

He began his VJ activity in 2005, working with the Drums.ro and DGW crews, also collaborating with major music festivals in the country and abroad. Andrei has provided video design for theater productions directed by Silviu Purcărete, Radu Afrim, Alexandru Dabija, Charles Muller, Theodor Cristian Popescu, Eugen Jebeleanu, Ioana Paun, Octavian Jighirgiu, Florin Caracala, and others. He has created numerous interactive and non-interactive video installations and founded the AV// Sattelites project, sharing the stage with artists such as Arms and Sleepers, Sun Gliters, Brazda lui Novac, and Yvat, among others.

In 2016, he ranked third in the international video mapping competition Light Up, Iași, and in 2017, he returned as a participant and won first place.

In 2017, he received the award for video mapping in theater at the National Comedy Festival, and in 2020, he received the special U.N.I.T.E.R award for video mapping in theater at the UNITER gala, 30th edition. In 2021/2022, he exhibited alongside artists Felix Aftene and Lucian Dan Teodorovici in Berlin and Paris, and in 2022, he received his second U.N.I.T.E.R award for the creativity of video design and video mapping in the production “The Ploughman and Death,” directed by Silviu Purcarete and scenography by Dragoș Buhagiar.

In late 2022, he received the “Cultural Merit” distinction during the event Iași Values, Romania Values, in recognition of his contribution to the field of visual arts.

Noiseloop is an artistic concept and intermedia pseudonym founded by art director, new media artist and creative mentor Lucian E. Matei. As an independent, artist-run new media studio, the practice develops conceptual works at the intersection of art and technology.

Specialized in new media and theatre, Noiseloop creates immersive experiences through interactive digital arts and future storytelling. The work includes video mapping, light sculptures, interactive installations, multimedia design, audiovisual programming, surreal cinema and motion graphics.

Alexandru Radu

Alexandru Radu is a choreographer and performer whose work is driven by a constant curiosity for experimentation and a search for new artistic experiences. His creative process is both intense and deeply imaginative, and his performances explore a wide range of bold and challenging choreographic themes. His works include Take a Seat, DIE(T), RED LINE, Quantum Bodies, The Little Prince, Space–Soul–Second, and KARNAL. In 2023, at the eighth edition of the D-Butan-T Festival, RED LINE received the Special Award offered by Linotip – The Independent Choreographic Center.

Radu has also collaborated with theatre directors on productions such as Silent Chekhov (directed by Octavian Jighirgiu), Three Sad Plays (directed by Radu Afrim), The Infinite Monkey Theorem, and IVAN (both directed by Antonella Cornici). He completed his BA in 2020 at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, Faculty of Theatre, Choreography Department. Two years later, he finished his MA in Performing Arts, and in 2026 he is set to complete his doctoral studies at the same institution. He currently works as a freelance choreographer.

Emilian Costin

Emilian Costin is a fourth-year student at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, Faculty of Theatre, specializing in Choreography. In parallel with his studies, he is also a dancer with the “Constantin Arvinte” Professional Artistic Ensemble of the Iași County Council.

His artistic journey began in choreography, but gradually expanded toward lighting design, a field that has become a strong passion. He is particularly interested in how light can transform perception, amplify or fragment the body, and create rhythm, tension, and atmosphere. In his work, dance and light do not function independently; they engage in a continuous dialogue, shaping and influencing each other.

Giovanna Robertucci is a classical and contemporary ballet dancer with international experience, known for her technical precision, expressive range, and stylistic versatility. Her artistic path blends the discipline of classical training with an openness to contemporary choreographic languages, allowing her to approach diverse repertoires with coherence and mature stage presence. She is currently a member of the ballet ensemble of the Romanian National Opera in Iași, where she performs roles in emblematic classical productions such as Swan Lake, Giselle, and Don Quixote.

Alongside her professional activity, she is a first-year student at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, Faculty of Theatre, specializing in Choreography. Her academic training provides a solid theoretical and practical foundation, supporting her exploration of movement research, choreographic composition, and the conceptual dimension of the artistic process.

Dromp (Alex) is a multidisciplinary artist working with interactive environments and technology-driven visual narratives, ranging from large-scale public interventions to intimate experimental formats. His current practice focuses on identifying dissonant or contradictory moments that emerge either through interaction or through the internal logic of a concept. These situations can occur across different planes within technical systems, conceptual structures, or even at a surface level.

He has presented works at Romanian Creative Week, RADAR, and Street Delivery, and has collaborated with brands such as Pepsi on visual projects.
He has also contributed to creative community initiatives such as NewMediaJam and the Aici>aproape program, supporting collaborative contexts for new media practitioners. Early in his journey he explored graphic design and VJ-ing, and he continues to work across disciplines, connecting technology, audience interaction, and emotional expression

Dragos is an XR Creative Developer interested in how immersive technologies can transform the way we learn, train, and connect with culture. He is involved in artistic, tourism, and educational projects through the ColorfulCoding team and the ArtLink application.

His expertise includes immersive experience development, 3D environments, and AI-based solutions. Outside his professional activity, he enjoys sharing his knowledge online, at conferences, and in the workshops he leads at the Faculty of Computer Science.

Mihai-Aureliu Savin

Mihai-Aureliu Savin

Mihai-Aureliu Savin (b. 1995, Iași, RO) is a visual artist and lecturer at the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design, George Enescu National University of Arts in Iași, Romania. His post-conceptual practice investigates the ways in which systems (technical, social, institutional, linguistic or others) can operate as artistic media. His central premise is that new media emerge through borrowings from fields extrinsic to art, with the artist acting as a para-user who critically tests the mechanisms of these systems. The exhibition becomes a laboratory, while the art object is transformed into a demonstration of the trajectory between idea, process, and legitimization.

Raluca Andreea Orlanschi

Raluca Andreea Orlanschi (b. 2002, Iași, Romania) is a visual artist and multidisciplinary designer whose practice unfolds through the dialogue between visual expression and music, as well as between memory and lived experience. Within her creations, emotion takes shape through imagery, while rhythm subtly informs the composition’s structure and movement.

Guided by an early sensitivity to form, color, and contrast, she has gradually developed an approach that integrates analog and digital photography, drawing, and moving image. Her involvement in festivals, together with extensive travel and engagement with diverse cultural environments, has expanded her perspective and deepened the complexity of her artistic voice.

She conceives creation as an evolving process of reflection and transformation, a field where vulnerability and strength coexist, inviting the viewer into a space of intimate and meaningful resonance.

Buruiană Teodor is a visual artist specializing in light art installations. A graduate of the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, the artist coherently combines artistic media to create unique experiences for the public.
His artistic practice explores the potential of light to transform space and shape perception. He is interested in the intersection between the material and the immaterial, between object and experience, where light becomes an active medium capable of generating relationships and reactions.

He approaches installation as an open system in which the audience plays an essential role. Interaction, movement, sound, and chromatic variations are integrated to build immersive contexts in which the viewer is not only an observer but also a participant.

Through the use of contemporary technologies, he seeks to create situations in which space becomes dynamic and the artistic experience takes on a sensory and reflective dimension. Light functions simultaneously as material, symbol, and research tool, generating questions about presence, memory, and the relationship between body, environment, and technology.

Andrei‑Călin Ursuțu is a visual artist and a graduate of the Photography, Video, and Computer Image Processing program at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași. His artistic practice focuses on exploring and proposing new ways of relating to psychological and sociological issues through meditative and investigative works. He sees art as an essential means of exploration and understanding, capable of revealing inner worlds and universes that go beyond the usual boundaries of everyday experience.

Andrei Popovici is a visual artist based in Iași, whose practice focuses on video art. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Photography and Video Art at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași. His work is deeply rooted in the performing arts, having designed video projections for theater and performance art productions across stages in Iași, Sibiu, and Galați (e.g., #BeReal, Anatomy of a Woman, The Addams Family young@part).

By fusing scenography with new technologies, video art, and projection mapping, Andrei creates immersive spaces that explore the dialogue between the digital image and the physical environment. His artistic contributions have been recognized through prestigious grants, including “The Creative” (Romanian Creative Week 2025) and “Classix in Art” (2026).

Beyond the theater, his individual works—such as Tree of Life and Extraction—have been exhibited at Art Safari Bucharest, Curated Frame Art Gallery, and within various international festivals.

Monica Mengheriș is an artist from Iași, Romania, currently a student at the “George Enescu” University of Arts, specializing in Photography, Video, and Computerized Image Processing. Passionate about photography and video art, her artistic practice focuses on researching time, human connection, and how individual identity is constructed by the community.

Beto [Robert-Emanuel Rusu, b. 2002] is an interdisciplinary artist and digital designer from Suceava, currently pursuing a master’s degree at the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design within the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași. His practice explores the intersection between technology and the human condition through mediums such as video, new media, installations, sound, and computer‑generated imagery, investigating themes related to digital identity, technological hybridization, and the impact of technology on perception and human relationships.

Over time, he has been active in galleries, contemporary art exhibitions, and national festivals, both as an interdisciplinary artist and as a video designer and sound designer for stage productions, theatre performances, and live acts.

His work unfolds across diverse contexts, from group exhibitions and gallery projects to art festivals, shows, and live performances. Cezara Pâțâligă (b. 2000, Iași) is a visual artist and an MA student specializing in Photography and Video Art at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași. Her artistic practice explores human emotions and experiences through sensory engagement. Poetic and introspective in nature, her works propose a visual experience that invites reflection, seeking ways to express feelings and lived experiences in an accessible and personalized form. For her, art becomes a space where individual and collective dimensions converge, anchored in a shared history yet expressed through a distinct personal voice.

In her current practice, the artist deepens an interdisciplinary dialogue, integrating experimental photography and video installations into a coherent discourse on memory and perception. Cezara investigates the capacity of the technical image to transcend its function as a simple document, transforming it into a sensory vehicle capable of activating the viewer’s affective memory.

Alexandru is a 26 years old visual artist currently pursuing his Master’s degree at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts.
He creates minimalist video and new media installations exploring the intersection of space, perception, and the human body. By merging moving images with interactivity, he transforms personal narratives into immersive experiences that challenge our sense of reality.

He is currently expanding his practice into interdisciplinary works addressing global societal issues.

Claudia Nicola Ungureanu (b. 2002, Iași) is an emerging artist working in the field of contemporary visual practices. Her work has a critical dimension and addresses systemic issues related to political structures, the protection of the planet’s resources, and the impact of their exploitation on the environment and society.

Her practice began in photography, through the exploration of digital and analog image manipulation techniques, and later expanded into experimental video, installation, and performance art. She holds a BA from the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design in Iași and is currently pursuing an MA in Photography and Video Art.

Recent projects include installations presented at Galeria Catinca Tăbăcaru, Bucharest (“New Wave Art Prize,” July 2025), Galeria cu Platani, Timișoara (“Scroll, Desire, Repeat,” September 2025), and Atelier Patru, Cluj (“The Weight of Tenderness,” October 2025).

Eduard Onofrei

Eduard Onofrei is a visual artist and second-year student at the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design, specializing in Photography, Video, and Computerized Image Processing at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, Romania.

His interdisciplinary artistic practice emerges from a deeply personal register, where fragility and inner tensions become visual material.

His work investigates states of imbalance and the difficulty of translating subjective experience into intelligible form. His intuitive and fragmentary process reflects an unstable relationship with time and control. Through the reinterpretation and digital manipulation of existing materials, he constructs new layers of meaning within a practice oriented toward exploration and process.

Tudor-Matei Laic (b. 2005, Roman, Romania) is a visual artist working across contemporary photography, cinematography, and new media to explore how data fragility, memory, and fragmented identity transform subjective experiences into shared narratives that reveal how fragments of our lives yield common meanings.

Currently, he is a second-year undergraduate student at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, Faculty of Visual Arts and Design, Photography, video, computer image processing specialization.

Andreea Harabagiu

Andreea Harabagiu is a visual artist based in Iași and a Master’s student at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts, whose practice explores the intersections of documentary photography and contemporary archival practices. Interested in the anthropological dimension of the image, she investigates the mechanisms of identity, using the archive as a generative material in the exploration of subjective histories. Her artistic approach recontextualizes documentary photography, transforming the document into a mediating instrument between personal and collective experience.

Through the integration of new technologies and installation, the artist expands her visual discourse beyond the limits of the two-dimensional, developing contexts for interaction and sensory immersion.

Andrei Cozlac

Andrei Cozlac (b. 1986) is a video artist and Lecturer at George Enescu National University of Arts, Iasi, Faculty of Visual Arts, Department of Photography, Video, and Computer Image Processing, as well as a collaborating professor at the media department of the Faculty of Arts in Târgu Mureș.

An experimenter interested in the latest multimedia technologies, he has collaborated on numerous independent projects involving visuals, video mapping, and live projections.

He began his VJ activity in 2005, working with the Drums.ro and DGW crews, also collaborating with major music festivals in the country and abroad. Andrei has provided video design for theater productions directed by Silviu Purcărete, Radu Afrim, Alexandru Dabija, Charles Muller, Theodor Cristian Popescu, Eugen Jebeleanu, Ioana Paun, Octavian Jighirgiu, Florin Caracala, and others. He has created numerous interactive and non-interactive video installations and founded the AV// Sattelites project, sharing the stage with artists such as Arms and Sleepers, Sun Gliters, Brazda lui Novac, and Yvat, among others.

In 2016, he ranked third in the international video mapping competition Light Up, Iași, and in 2017, he returned as a participant and won first place.

In 2017, he received the award for video mapping in theater at the National Comedy Festival, and in 2020, he received the special U.N.I.T.E.R award for video mapping in theater at the UNITER gala, 30th edition. In 2021/2022, he exhibited alongside artists Felix Aftene and Lucian Dan Teodorovici in Berlin and Paris, and in 2022, he received his second U.N.I.T.E.R award for the creativity of video design and video mapping in the production “The Ploughman and Death,” directed by Silviu Purcarete and scenography by Dragoș Buhagiar.

In late 2022, he received the “Cultural Merit” distinction during the event Iași Values, Romania Values, in recognition of his contribution to the field of visual arts.
