IP – Praxis, Methodology, Eduation
RFW Forum – aims to discuss relevant topics related to contemporary fashion, with extensions to the creative industries.
Organized within Romanian Fashion Week (RFW), during the days dedicated to fashion presentations in the two sections: RFW Platform and Romanian Designers, the Forum will problematize, through interdisciplinary approaches, issues that will refer to historical perspectives and projections of the future.
Experts working in the fashion and/or creative industries will be invited to give presentations with cultural references and examples from their own professional experience, followed by Q&A sessions and discussions.
The focus for this year’s Forum is IP – intellectual property and its multiple facets regarding the fashion industry. As described above, the RFW Forum takes place in the last weekend of the festival and has distinguished guests – personalities from the creative industries – that will speak about various aspects of IP: from music copyright in the online fashion content, to the legal steps necessary, in Romania, for protecting a trademark, to exemples from artistic praxis that involved infringement.
Intellectual Property in Fashion & Education is a pillar on which we would like to develop more projects. The expert’s view on the subject are of great importance.
The conferences will be in Romanian, and the moderator will be one of Romania’s top journalists – Irina Păcurariu, with a vast experience in TV and events.
