For the past few years, I became particularly interested in improvisation, a tool for discovering new movement. By using the creation of mental images to generate movement, it is fascinating how the body can respond to impulses in ways it’s never done it before, or, at least, we haven’t been aware of it, and therefore, we missed unique events.
This masterclass will use improvisation to unleash a stronger connection to ourselves, to the space and people surrounding us, enabling the body to become totally awake, reactive and playful. Besides the freedom which improvisation can give us, we will experiment various exercises based on bodily coordination, by itself and in relationship with spoken language. Following the idea that the voice can lead us, the purpose is to use it in order to make us more present, so that our movement becomes more refined, full of sense.
