The use of cast concrete blocks that mimic standard paving units transforms overlooked utilitarian elements into expressive objects that reveal hidden potential. By contrasting their harsh and familiar exterior with an illuminated interior life, the approach challenges perceptions of value, elegance, and identity in ordinary structures. The intervention moves the paving blocks from anonymous infrastructure to vessels of meaning, while preserving traces of their urban history and collective use. Ultimately, it demonstrates that poetic and emotional depth can emerge from the simplest of materials when they are intentionally recontextualized.
